In Search of Perfect Bliss

Ananda began now almost two years ago, two musicians looking for musical bliss and a new challenge. And it seems that we have found it together.

My original concept for Ananda was based on my experience with the artists of Windham Hill and Narada, massage therapy CDs and Yoga classes, and that illusive search for relaxation in a constantly stressful world.

What I found after joining forces with Laurie Neal was much more than I had bargained for. When Laurie added her beautiful violin parts to my wistful piano melodies, they took on an entirely new dimension. Actually, they took on a life of their own. The music began to define its own purpose, carve out its own niche, and it reached out to audiences I never imagined would be interested. And it has brought spiritual and emotional blessings to the two of us that neither of us could have imagined.

We have had the wonderful opportunity to work with area Hospice organizations and support their compassionate efforts. We have been embraced by audiences large and small and as our music grows and develops, we learn and grow along with it. We have heard so many stories of pain and catharsis and healing through our music and in hoping to share musical blessings with others, we have been the ones who were blessed.

To all who have bought and downloaded our "Still Waters" CD, come to our concerts, written us beautiful letters of support and encouragement, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. May the road be long and filled with many blessings. Peace.
