Finally Friday Night of the Living Arts….

“See Lancaster’s” Finally Friday Series and “Lancaster County Council of the Arts” Annual Fall Crawl

Beginning with “Finally Friday” at the Springs House, 201 West Gay Street, Lancaster, SC 2972, this free event features Haunted Music, Ghost Stories with Appalachian Storyteller Rick Elliott, Street Market Vendors, Octoberfest food by The “Smoke Haus”, and a downtown “creepy crawl”!

To participate and end-of-crawl prize contest, make a $20 donation to support programs of the LCCA & receive a “trick or treat” bag with instructions & map of downtown galleries, shops, bistros, and businesses to visit & collect treats to qualify for great gifts. The “creepy crawl” begins at 5pm & “crawlers” must return to Springs House to be present for the 8:30pm announcement of winners. During the evening“crawlers” can capture the costumed memories with photographs by “K & A Photography” in the Springs House photo booth!

Stops along the way will have live music, beverage tastings, culinary samplings, pumpkin carving demo, & special art exhibits. Participating businesses are Picture Perfect, Cakes & More by Pierre, Charley’s Café, Edwards Scott House, Justice Java, Café Taylor, Bob Doster’s Backstreet Studio, Sworn Few Motorcycle Club, Wireless Unlimited, Chastain’s Studio Lofts, Hospice & Community Care, Kimbrell’s, Purple Rooster, Hi-Lites and more to be announced. Live entertainment, costume contests, artist demonstrations & exhibits, culinary & beverage samplings will take place at stops along the away. Artist Jamie Ouzts will demonstrate pumpkin “art” carving, “Ananda” & “Failure Drill” will provide live music.

Contest prizes include original artwork by Dianne Mahaffee, Harriett Goode, Bob Doster, Jamie Ouzts, students of Avant Garde Center for the Arts, Fran Gardner; certificate for live performance by Erin Moon-Kelly; tickets to upcoming concerts, events, & performances; Simple Wills courtesy of Mandy Powers-Norrell; nature photography books courtesy of Angelo Sciulli & Katawba Valley Land Trust; “Ananda” CD’s; Gallery Up Art Tee’s; Downtown Craze & C.B.’s goodies, City of Lancaster artwork, See Lancaster collectibles, gift baskets; and more!

A night of fun and festivities in downtown Lancaster featuring arts in all forms: culinary, visual, performance, literary, fashion design (!), music, and more!!!!!!!! Musicians, gift prizes, stops along the crawl, and other “creepy” things are being added daily!! This is a not-to-be-missed downtown event!
